jerry2I spent 13 years in the Marine Corps, and 8 years in the aerospace defense business in a variety of high level management positions before leaving the Government in 2004 so I could work full time with the special needs community. I have 2 years of in-home ABA experience (2002 & 2003) and have been coaching Special Needs children in gymnastics environments since 2004, Tonya Bennett and I developed the revolutionary Behavioral Sensory Integration (BSI) coaching approach in 2006 and subsequently opened our own company, BMod Fitness and Therapeutic Services Corporation in August of 2006 to provide Behavioral Modification Fitness classes at affordable prices to our local community.

I have also spent time as a class room aide in several special needs classrooms (2005, 2006). I lectured at Adams Middle School in the LAUSD (2006) to all the staff regarding ideas for helping teachers to use physical exercises to refocus and replace certain maladaptive classroom behaviors without the use of special equipment or specific training. I have been the head coach of several youth teams in a variety of sports through the years, including girls softball and basketball, boys hockey and baseball. I served as the Saticoy Little League Chief Umpire for two seasons, 1998 and 1999. I am also a parent and a grandparent, with two grandson’s at the current time (though I hope for more eventually).
